Stage 02 of 06 — Survey

Survey and evaluation

We measure it ourselves, and flag what will not build.

Next: Priced scope

Nothing is drawn against someone else’s dimensions. Our project manager and a maker survey the site: plumb, level, service runs, floor falls, and the door a finished panel has to fit through.

Existing conditions are photographed and marked up on the spot. Anything that will fight the millwork — an out-of-square wall, a stub of pipe, a beam lower than the drawings say — is flagged before it becomes a change order.

On an occupied or trading site we survey after hours where we can.
