Capability 04 of 05 — Built-in casework
Casework that holds books without a bow
Libraries, media walls and working storage sized to the load and scribed to the building.
Casework is where a shelf either holds a wall of books for twenty years or bows in the first winter. Spans are drawn to deflection, not to the sheet size, and the loaded ones get a solid front edge and a cleat back to the studs.
Libraries and media walls are built as modules on the floor, test-fitted as one run, then split for the truck and rejoined on site so the reveals line through.
Interiors are finished as carefully as fronts: dovetailed drawers, adjustable shelving on drawn centres, and cable routes for whatever the wall has to power.
